The Simpsons Movie Previews

July 28th 2006 05:58
The Simpsons Movie will be released worldwide on July 27, 2007.
It will be written and produced by those currently and previously involved with the TV show. At the moment not much is know about the movie. We do know that the film is likely to have a PG-13 rating in the US and contain language that would not usually be acceptable on broadcast television.
Kelsey Grammer and Joe Mantega have confirmed that their characters Sideshow Bob and Fat Tony will make an appearance in the movie.
There will also be new characters introduced in the movie, Albert Brooks, Minnie Driver and Erin Brockovich (yes the real life one), are confirmed to have parts.

Below is the teaser trailer for the film which doesn't give much away.

Earlier this month, two clips of early, unfinished footage from the movie were shown to audiences during a Simpsons panel at Comic-Con. They are below.

Based on the above footage and what we know one theory is that in the movie Homer causes an accident at the nuclear power plant - which causes the town’s drinking water to be spoiled. Therefore, Erin Brockovich is guest starring - playing herself. After the incident, Homer gets fired from the plant, and the majority of Springfield's citizens move away.
Keep in mind this is not confirmed and that producer James. L. Brooks stated that they were going to leak fake plots, just to make it interesting.

July 19th 2006 05:59
Rocky Balboa (formerly known as Rocky VI), is written by, directed, and starring, Sylvester Stallone. This will be the last film in the series, which all began back in 1976 with the first Rocky, which won Best Picture and Best Director Oscars, and Stallone was nominated for Best Actor.
The script for Rocky Balboa has the over-the-hill Balboa taking on the reigning heavyweight boxing champ Mason "The Line" Dixon. Both men are trying to restore their dignity: Dixon because he's reviled by fight fans for taking on unproven opponents; Rocky because its been years since the aging boxer from South Philly has climbed into a ring.
