Let's Go to Prison is an upcoming feature film about a criminal and a wealthy man who are forced to share a cell in a maximum-security prison. It is starring Will Arnett, Dax Shepard and Chi McBride and will be released into North America on November 17th. The Australian release date is January 11th, 2007.

When a career criminal's plan for revenge is thwarted by unlikely circumstances, he puts his intended victim's son in his place by putting him in prison...and then joining him.

Breaking and Entering is a 2006 romantic drama film by Anthony Minghella, an Academy Award-winning British film director. It reunites him with Jude Law, who he directed in Cold Mountain and The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Juliette Binoche, who he directed in The English Patient. Robin Wright Penn co-stars. Jude Law is tipped for an Oscar nomination for his performance. It will be released in the UK on Noverber 10th and America on December 8th. The Australian release date is January 4th, 2007.

Will Francis (Jude Law) is a young landscape architect living a cold, routine-based life with his girlfriend Liv (Robin Wright Penn) in London. When his state-of-the-art office in the Kings Cross area is burgled, he decides to search for the culprit. This leads him to Amira (Juliette Binoche), a Bosnian refugee with whom he has an affair.

Bug Movie Trailer

Bug is a 2006 film, a psychological thriller and horror film directed by William Friedkin. The film is starring Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon and Harry Connick Jr, and is written by Tracy Letts. Ashley Judd is tipped for an academy award nomination for her performance. The American release date is December 2006 while the likely Australian release date is February 2007.

The film is based on Letts' play about modern paranoia in the wake of the Gulf War, and contains elements of black comedy, romance, and horror. Most of the action takes place in a seedy Oklahoma motel room, where Gulf War veteran Peter (Michael Shannon) and lonely divorcee Agnes (Ashley Judd) hole up together and fall in love while contending with an apparent infestation of microscopic bugs. Agnes' violent ex-husband Jerry, is played by Harry Connick Jr.. Other characters include her lesbian friend and co-worker, played by Lynn Collins; and Peter's doctor, played by Brian F. O'Byrne. The film's tagline is: "paranoia is contagious".

Originally called All Lit Up, Deck the Halls is a 2006 family comedy film set during the holiday season. It stars Danny Devito, Matthew Broderick, Kristin Chenoweth, and Kristin Davis and is directed by John Whitesell. It will be released on November 22nd in America. The Australian release date is December 7th.

Buddy Hall (DeVito) is a man determined to decorate his home with enough Christmas lights it will be visible from space — which doesn't sit well with his neighbor Steve (Broderick), the uptight chair of the local winter festival.

A Scanner Darkly Movie Trailer

A Scanner Darkly is a 2006 film by Richard Linklater starring Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey, Jr., and Rory Cochrane. It is based on the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name. Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney are among the film's executive producers. It was released in America in July and the Australian release date is November 30th.

Set in a future world where America has lost the war on drugs, an undercover cop, Fred, is one of many agents hooked on the popular drug Substance D, which causes its users to develop split personalities. Fred, for instance, is also Bob, a notorious drug dealer. Along with his superior officers, Fred sets up an elaborate scheme to catch Bob and tear down his operation.




A Scanner Darkly was filmed digitally using the Panasonic AG-DVX100 and then animated with Rotoshop, a proprietary graphics editing program created by Bob Sabiston. Rotoshop uses an animation technique called interpolated rotoscope, which was previously used in Linklater's film Waking Life.

Charlotte's Web Movie

Charlotte's Web is a live-action/computer-animated feature film, based on the popular book of the same name by E.B. White in 1952. It stars Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese and Jennifer Garner. The American release date is December 20th, 2006 while the Australian release date is December 7th, 2006. The fair scene in the movie was filmed in Heidelberg in Melbourne, Australia.

Wilbur is the pet piglet of a young girl named Fern Arable. Unfortunately, when he grows into an adult pig, Fern is forced to take him to the Zuckerman farm, where he will be prepared as dinner in due time

As covered in a previous post, Flags of our Fathers is a 2006 film directed by Clint Eastwood which recounts the ultimately tragic tale of five young United States Marines, and one United States Navy corpsman photographed raising an American flag atop Mount Suribachi on February 23, 1945, in the midst of the great Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. It was released on October 20th in the US and will be released on November 2nd in Australia.

As he was making Flags of our Fathers, Clint Eastwood became intrigued with the plight of the 20,000 Japanese soldiers who had been given the hopeless task of defending the island - a task which amounted to a suicide mission. This fascination led Eastwood to develop "Letters from Iwo Jima

The Nativity Story Movie Trailer

The Nativity Story, once titled simply, Nativity, is a 2006 film starring Keisha Castle-Hughes (New Zealand's Oscar-nominated actress of The Whale Rider) and Shohreh Aghdashloo (Oscar-nominated supporting actress of House of Sand and Fog). Filming began May 1, 2006 in Matera, Italy and Morocco. The film is to be released world wide prior to Christmas. Specifically the UK and American release date is December 1st, and the Australian release date is December 7th.

The film follows the life of the Virgin Mary and Joseph over the two-year period immediately prior to the birth of Jesus, and several years afterward (including the visit of the Magi and the vengeful rage of King Herod

Open Season Movie Trailer

Open Season is a computer-animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Roger Allers, Jill Culton and Anthony Stacchi. It was released on September 29, 2006 by Columbia Pictures in America. The Australian release date is 30th November, 2006. It features a role reversal, with woodland creatures that are traditionally hunted teaming up against hunters, much like the classic Warner Bros. shorts. It has also been released in the IMAX 3D format. A video game for the film has also been announced for various platforms.

A grizzly bear named Boog (Martin Lawrence), domesticated by a park ranger, Beth, helps deer friend Elliot (Ashton Kutcher) escape from the mullet-sporting hunter, Shaw. When the animals escape to the forest the pair become lost just as hunting season begins, made worse by the fact Boog doesn't know how to survive outside of his beloved ranch. Elliott and Boog develop a strong bond not only between themselves but also with the wild animals and attempt to drive the hunters out of the forest

We Are Marshall Movie Trailer

We Are Marshall is a motion picture chronicling the aftermath of the 1970 plane crash that killed all 75 on board including 37 members of the Marshall University football team, eight coaches (including head coach Rick Tolley), 25 boosters and supporters, and five crew members.
New coach Jack Lengyel (Matthew McConaughey) and the remaining players then try to rebuild the team from scratch. The American release date is December 22nd 2006 and the Australian release date will most likely be early January 2007.

Eragon is a fantasy/adventure movie based on the novel of the same name, by author Christopher Paolini. It is scheduled to be released on December 15, 2006 in the USA and the Australian release date is December 18th, 2006.

Eragon tells the tale of a farm boy named Eragon, living in the village Carvahall in the fictional and magical world of Alagaësia. At the age of fifteen, he finds a dragon egg. From the egg hatches Saphira. Her arrival sets off a series of events that turn his life, and many other lives, upside down. Eragon keeps this as a secret. One day he finds his uncle dead and sets out on a journey to avenge him. Grind House Trailer

Grind House is a 2007 film that consists of two segments, of which both are feature-length attractions. One segment, Planet Terror, will be a zombie film written and directed by Robert Rodríguez. The other segment, Death Proof, will be a slasher film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The expected release date for Grind House in America is April 6, 2007. The Australian release date is currently February 1st, 2007.

Between the two segments will be trailers advertising fake films. Tarantino has stated that fake trailers will be shot for a blaxploitation film, a kung fu film, a sexploitation movie and a Spaghetti Western film. Tarantino confirmed that he will be directing the trailer for the sexploitation "film" Cowgirls in Sweden

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a 2006 film that is a prequel to New Line Cinema's 2003 film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, the film was released on October 6, 2006 in North America and is set 4 years before the 2003 remake. The release date in Australia is November 16th. The film was originally going to have the subtitle "The Origin". It made $19 million in its opening weekend in North America, already covering its production cost of $16 million.

The plot focuses around the origins of Leatherface and his cannibalistic family. It tells how Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface) came to be a chainsaw weilding murderer. It also focuses around four people Chrissie (Jordana Brewster), Dean (Taylor Handley), Bailey (Diora Baird) and Eric (Matthew Bomer) going on a road trip before the two men go to Vietnam to fight in the Vietnam War

A Good Year is a 2006 film directed by Ridley Scott. It is the feature film adaptation on Peter Mayle's international bestseller of the same name. It stars Russell Crowe, Albert Finney, Abbie Cornish and Marion Cotillard. It was shot in Provence, France. Critics believe that the combination of Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe may bring another academy award. It will be released on November the 9th and 10th in Australia and the US respectively.

Max Skinner, a British investment expert portrayed by Russell Crowe, inherits a vineyard from his deceased uncle (portrayed by Albert Finney). He goes to Provence to sell it, but finds it increasingly difficult to do so, because the happiest memories of his life happened at the vineyard. However, on arriving there, he meets a Californian woman, Christie, who may be his cousin and thus have a claim to ownership of the property

Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal is a book by Eric Schlosser released in 2001. The book examines how the increasing dominance of fast food and the industry which supports it have led to changes in American society. In particular, Schlosser argues that the fast food industry has used political influence to increase profits at the expense of human health and the social conditions of its workers.

The film Fast Food Nation was filmed on locations in Mexico, and the United States. The movie uses a fictionalized approach instead of being a documentary, telling the story from the point of view of people involved in the industry. It was written and directed by Richard Linklater and the ensemble cast includes Greg Kinnear, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Ethan Hawke, Luis Guzman, Patricia Arquette, Kris Kristofferson, Lou Taylor Pucci, Ana Claudia Talancon, Esai Morales, Wilmer Valderrama, Bruce Willis, and Avril Lavigne. It will be released on October 20th in the US and October 26th in Australia
