Big Stan is a comedy movie written and directed by Rob Schneider.
Schneider stars as a real estate con artist named Stan Minton who is caught and sentenced to do some prison time. Stan is terrified of being raped inside, so he hires a mysterious Kung Fu artist to to train him in readiness for his time behind bars. Stan finds that not only do his new found skills keep him out of trouble in the prison shower, but he becomes an unlikely hero as he outsmarts warring prison gangs and a corrupt warden. It will be released in Austalia on November 20th. The American release date is fall 2008.

an is 18 years old but despite his best efforts has never had much luck with the girls. That all changes when he meets a woman online, who offers him the chance to loose his virginity if he drives to Knoxville to meet her. Of course Ian doesn't road trip it alone, with his friends Amanda (who he has a thing for), and Lance (who Amanda has a thing for) coming along for the ride. Their vehicle of choice? Ian's brother Rex's beloved 1969 GTO, naturally taken without permission.

Sex Drive will be released in the USA on October 10th, 2008. The Australian release date is November 13th.

RocknRolla

RocknRolla movie poster


RocknRolla is the latest crime thriller directed by Guy Ritchie. Filmed in London, it focuses on the story of a Russian mobster who sets up a real estate scam in the UK where huge amounts of cash are up for grabs. Everyone in the London underworld tried to get in on the action, from crime lords to corrupt politicians and petty thieves. They all want to get rich quick, but who will win out in the end.
RocknRolla will be released in the UK on October 3rd and the USA on October 31st. The Australian release date is November 6th.

The Duchess, dutchess Keira Knightley


The Duchess is a biographical dramatisation of the life of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire played by Keira Knightley. Born in 1757, she was the most fascinating woman of the age. A darling of the common people, she was also a doting mother, fashion icon and shrewd political operator amongst the powerbrokers of the time. She was far from perfect, however with a gambling problem and tragic love life. Her husband the Duke of Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes) was distant and uncaring, her affair with Earl Grey and other indiscretions created more scandal than you can imagine.
The film will be released in the UK on September 5th and USA on September 19th while the Australian release date is October 2nd.

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is a British teen comedy film to be released in October 2nd in the USA. The Australian release date is September 18th.
The film is based on popular teenage novels Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging and It's OK, I'm wearing really big knickers by Louise Rennison and some John Hughes movies of the 80s such as 16 Candles. The movie is based in the English coastal town of Eastbourne and stars Georgia Groome as Georgia Nicolson as she tries to gain a boyfriend, throw the greatest 15th birthday party of all time and keep her parents happy at the same time.

Flash of Genius is based on the true story of Robert (Bob) Kearns, the man who invented the intermittent windshield wiper only to have his invention stolen by Detroit auto makers. What happened next became one of the most famous of patent cases, as Kearns alone took on massive corporations such as Ford and General Motors over patent infringement. The matter finally being settled in the Supreme Court. Flash of Genius will be released in the USA on October 25th, 2008. It stars Greg Kinnear as Bob Kearns.

Robert Kearns invention was first used in cars in 1969, and is still used today. After many courst battles he eventually triumphed earning almost $30 million in compensation. He died in February 2005
