Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

The Vampire’s Assistant tells the frightening tale of a boy who unknowingly breaks a 200 year old truce between two warring factions of vampires. Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfil his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant will be released in Australia on January 7th.

Tooth Fairy

When a pro hockey player (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), nicknamed the "Tooth Fairy" for his ability to knock out other players' teeth, dashes the hopes of several children, he is ordered to serve two THOUSAND weeks of hard labour as one of the real Tooth Fairies.

The film will be released in the USA on January 22nd, 2010. The Australian release date is January 14th.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a stop motion animated film based on Roald Dahl's book of the same name.

Angry farmers, tired of sharing their chickens with a sly fox, look to get rid of their opponent and his family.

Fantastic Mr. Fox will be released in Australia on January 7th, 2010. See the trailer below.

Up in the Air

George Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a man who travels around the country to terminate corporate employees. Walter Kirn stated in the film's press notes: "Ryan is like a masseur who comes in and sort of rubs your shoulders while rolling your desk chair into the elevator." On occasion he delivers motivational speeches about the virtue of a relationship-free life. He relishes the comfort of being anonymous during his perpetual travels. He does not have a personal life and he numbs himself with sex, booze and drugs. His company chooses to ground him and keep him at the corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. According to Reitman, "The movie is about the examination of a philosophy—what if you decided to live hub to hub, with nothing, with nobody?"
Up in the Air will be released in the USA on Christmas Day. The Australian release date is January 7th. View the trailer below:

It's Complicated

Jane is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery and has – after a decade of divorce an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake. But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son’s college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable – an affair. With Jake remarried to the much young Agness, Jane is now, of all things, the other woman. Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam, an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realises he’s become part of a love triangle. Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around?

It's Complicated will be released in North America on Christmas Day. It will be released in Australia on New Year's Day.

The Princess and the Frog is an upcoming 2009 American animated family feature film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which is loosely based on E.D. Baker's novel The Frog Princess and the Grimm brothers' The Frog Prince. It will be the 49th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics and the first theatrically released 2D animated movie by Disney since 2004's Home on the Range.

Avatar is an upcoming 3-D science fiction epic film directed by James Cameron, due to be released on December 16, 2009 by 20th Century Fox.
More than ten years in the making, Avatar marks Cameron's return to feature directing since helming 1997's Titanic, the highest grossing film of all time and winner of eleven Oscars including Best Picture. The film follows a human astronaut, Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker (Dwayne " The Rock" Johnson) who lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first to set foot on it. However, he discovers it's inhabited by little green people who live in a white picket-fenced world reminiscent of 1950s America. The inhabitants of Planet 51 live in fear of alien invasion, their paranoia is realised with the arrival of a human. Befriended by a young resident, he has to avoid capture in order to recover his spaceship and try to return home
