Famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), is summoned to a Swiss research facility (CERN) to analyse a mysterious symbol burned into the chest of Leonardo Vetra, a murdered physicist. Langdon discovers evidence of the rebirth of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati, a powerful underground anti-religious organization.
