Babylon A.D. is a science fiction film based on the novel Babylon Babies by Maurice Georges Dantec.It is being directed by Mathieu Kassovitz and stars Vin Diesel. Babylon A.D. will be released on August 29, 2008 in the United States. The Australian release date is August 28th.
The premise for the film is veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop (Diesel) takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
