Tropic Thunder is an upcoming 2008 action comedy film directed by and starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. as a group of actors filming a Vietnam War movie. Their fed up director and writer decides to dump them in the middle of a real war. It is due for release on August 15, 2008 in the USA. The Australian release date is August 21st.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan

You Don't Mess with the Zohan is the latest comedy outing for Adam Sandler. The story was written by Adam Sandler along with Judd Apatow and Robert Smigel. Dennis Dugan will direct the film. Sandler's production company Happy Madison will also produce the film.
It will be released in Australia on June 19th and the USA on June 6th.

In the movie Adam Sandler plays a Mossad (Israeli counter terrorist) agent who fakes his death so he can move to New York City and become a hair stylist.

Step Brothers

Step Brothers is an upcoming 2008 comedy directed by Adam McKay, produced by Knocked Up's Judd Apatow, and starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The film will be released on July 25, 2008 in the USA. The Australian release date is September 18th.. Ferrell and Reilly last teamed in the 2006 film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The screenplay is by Ferrell and McKay from a story written by Ferrell, McKay, and Reilly. Jimmy Miller and Judd Apatow are producers of the film.

Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that will finally get them out of the house.

The Savages

The Savages is an irreverent, hilarious and heartbreaking story revolving around a modern American family, "The Savages" portrays an all-too-common dilemma: after drifting apart emotionally and geographically over the years, two siblings Wendy (Laura Linney) and Jon (Philip Seymour Hoffman) must band together to care for an elderly parent (Philip Bosco).

Superhero Movie

Superhero Movie is a send-up of superhero films, including Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four. It will be released on March 28th in North America, the Australian release date is April 10th.

The basic plot of Superhero movie is high school loser Rick Riker is bitten by a mutated dragonfly that allows him to develop abilities like super strength and armoured skin. He decides to become a crime fighter, calling himself "The Dragonfly". However, he is opposed by the villainous Lou Landers, who had been transformed in an accident during an experiment to become "The Hourglass", with powers to steal people's life forces to gain immortality.

Ryan, Wade and Emmit attend their first day at high school and they’re pumped ... until they meet up with Filkins, a school bully who comes off like a little Hannibal Lecter. Before they become completely engulfed in Filkins’ reign of terror, they seek out some protection by placing an ad in soldier of fortune magazine. Their best response - and the cheapest - comes from Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson), a down-on-his luck soldier of fortune who lives a homeless - he likes to say “home free” - existence on the beach. When Dennis discovers Libby's hooked up with high-flying-go-getter Whit (Azaria), he realizes it's now or never. He enters a marathon to show he's more than a quitter but then finds out just how much sweat, strain and tears it takes to run for 26 miles. Nobody gives him a chance but Dennis knows this is his only hope to more than a running joke.

The film will be directed by Kent Alterman and star Will Ferrell, Andre 3000, Will Arnett, Woody Harrelson, Maura Tierney, David Koechner, and Nick Brambila. Get Smart is an upcoming film adaptation of Mel Brooks' hit 1960's spy parody television show Get Smart. The film will star Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 .

Shooting began February 2007, and was continuing as of June 2007. Some scenes were shot in Montreal, Quebec, Canada between June 11 and June 13, 2007 at 1507 Docteur-Penfield Avenue and at McGill University. It will be released in the US on June 20th, 2008. The Australian release date is June 19th
