In the near-future, prisons are run by a corporation which uses inmates to participate in the most popular sport on earth, a brutal adrenalin-fuelled game of carnage in which monster cars are fitted with machine guns, flame throwers and rocket launchers. Former racing champion Jensen Ames is just two months away from release when the corporation selects him for the biggest event of the season, the Death Race. Facing a gauntlet of the most vicious criminals on the planet, he must kill or be killed in a brutal three day challenge for the ultimate prize: freedom. Death Race will be released in the USA on August 22nd. The Australian release date is October 30th.
