Starring Daniel Craig and directed by Edward Zwick, Defiance is a World War 2 film based on the true story of the Bielski partisans. Craig plays one of four Jewish brothers from Poland. After the Nazi invasion they escape into the forest where they meet up with members of the Russian resistance. They then hatch a plan to fight back and rescue their comrades. The movie follows their story as they rescue up to 1200 Jews while trying to avoid capture themselves. It will be released in the USA on January 19th, 2009. The Australian release date is February 26th.

Competition Queen
I just caught this one and thought it was a very inspirational film. To survive out in the woods like they did for a number of years in order to avoid capture is definitely worthy of a movie.
