Flash of Genius

Flash of Genius is based on the true story of Robert (Bob) Kearns, the man who invented the intermittent windshield wiper only to have his invention stolen by Detroit auto makers. What happened next became one of the most famous of patent cases, as Kearns alone took on massive corporations such as Ford and General Motors over patent infringement. The matter finally being settled in the Supreme Court. Flash of Genius will be released in the USA on October 25th, 2008. It stars Greg Kinnear as Bob Kearns.

Robert Kearns invention was first used in cars in 1969, and is still used today. After many courst battles he eventually triumphed earning almost $30 million in compensation. He died in February 2005.
