The Pink Panther 2 is the 2009 sequel to the 2006 film The Pink Panther, a reboot of the popular comedy series. The film is currently scheduled for release on February 6, 2009 in North America and April 2nd in Australia.
Steve Martin will reprise the role of Clouseau, originated by Peter Sellers.
After earning France's Medal of Honour for solving the Pink Panther diamond mystery, Inspector Jacques Clouseau has been reassigned to a remedial job by Chief Inspector Dreyfus (John Cleese) to keep him out of trouble. Alas, the Pink Panther diamond is stolen yet again during a series of thefts around the world. His previous success earns him a place on a "Dream Team" with the world's greatest detectives, and Clouseau is back on the case - this time wreaking havoc across the globe!
