Cairo Time

Cairo Time is a drama about a happily married wife of a Canadian diplomat who is seduced by Egypt and begins an affair with her host. This movie won the "Best Canadian Feature Film" at the Toronto International Film Festival 2009.

Juliette (played by Patricia Clarkson) is a magazine editor who arrives in Egypt to meet up with her husband Mark (McCamus) who is delayed due to work in Gaza. Juliette tries to enjoy herself in Cairo but soon discovers that walking alone in Cairo isn't as safe as she thought. Her husband sends his long-time friend Tareq, a retired Egyptian police officer (played by Alexander Siddig), to pick her up and be her contact while he is gone. Tareq show Juliette the beauty of Cairo. But it can't be denied that there's a mutual attraction between the two. They try to resist each other but will they succeed?



Cairo Time will be released in Australia by Village Cinemas on August 19th, 2010. View the trailer below:

Charlie St. Cloud is an fantasy-romance film based on the 2004 Ben Sherwood novel The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. The film is directed by Burr Steers and stars Zac Efron.

Charlie St. Cloud (Efron) survives a car accident that takes the life of his younger brother, Sam. Before the accident, Charlie made a promise to Sam to practice baseball with him everyday until he leaves for college. After the funeral, Charlie is able to see the ghost of his brother, who reminds him of the promise.


Charlie meets a girl, Tess, and develops a relationship with her. As he becomes closer with Tess, he realizes that he is growing farther away from his brother. Charlie is torn between honoring his promise or moving forward with his newfound love.

The film will be released in the USA on July 30th, 2010. The Australian release date is September 23rd. Watch the preview below:

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is an upcoming romantic-fantasy film scheduled for release on June 30, 2010 in the USA and July 1st in Australia. It is based on Stephenie Meyer's Eclipse and will be the third instalment of The Twilight Saga film series, following 2008's Twilight and 2009's New Moon. Directed by David Slade, the film will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. Melissa Rosenberg will be returning as screenwriter. Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria in the previous two instalments, will not be returning due to scheduling conflicts; instead, Bryce Dallas Howard will play Victoria. It will be the first Twilight film to be released in IMAX.

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" -- one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the "secretaries of Juliet" -- and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.

Letters to Juliet will be released in the USA on May 7th, 2010. The Australian release date is May 13th.

Simon and Pam previously a golden couple find themselves in smug and comfortable suburbia with two small children a sex life on hold and a marriage in limbo. At a yoga class for young mothers Pam meets the utterly gorgeous cellist, Katrien, who is quickly embraced by a bunch of young couples who call themselves the family group.

Katrien followed her love-rat husband Klaus to New Zealand in the hope that their love would flourish. Instead, she catches him in bed with a young art student and her marriage falls apart. Katrien’s sudden availability and vulnerability knocks the disillusioned Simon completely sideways. Hurt, confused and lonely, Katrien is susceptible to Simon’s infatuation and sexual tension ignites.

Their mutual attraction must be secret from the family group as it escalates and proves impossible to resist. They mumble and fumble a number of opportunities until a meticulously planned clandestine rendezvous in Berlin turns into a wild and crazy farce that threatens to rip their lives apart...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button stars Brad Pitt as the title character, a man who is born old and grows younger. The film begins is 1919 with Button born as an 80 year old baby and concludes in the year 2000. Button's life starts off hard, as a 10 year old he has a 70 year old's body. Life slowly improves however, and when he's 50 (but looks 30), he falls in love with Cate Blanchett who also looks (and is) 30. Of course as time passes the relationship starts to face some complications

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is the upcoming sequel to the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Directed by Sanaa Hamri, the original cast (America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel and Blake Lively) will star in the sequel, and although using some storylines from The Second Summer of the Sisterhood and Girls in Pants, the film is based around the fourth novel in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood. The film is rated PG-13. It will be released in the USA on August 6th. The Australian release date is September 18th.

The Edge of Love

The Edge of Love is a John Maybury film which will star Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys from a script by Sharman Macdonald, Knightley's mother. Originally titled The Best Time of Our Lives, the story concerns the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (played by Rhys), his wife Caitlin MacNamara (played by Miller) and their married friends, the Killicks (played by Knightley and Murphy). It will be released on June 20th in London. The Australian release date is August 21st.

The story is based loosely on real events and people. During World War II, Vera Phillips (Keira Knightley) runs into her first love, charismatic Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (Matthew Rhys), and their feelings for each other are renewed, despite that Dylan is now married to the spirited Caitlin (Sienna Miller). Despite their rivalry, the two women become friends and the trio have happy times together. When Vera marries soldier William Killick (Cillian Murphy), Dylan becomes jealous at the addition of him to the group, and Caitlin notices. But William is soon deployed abroad, and the remaining trio moves to the Welsh countryside, and Vera's feelings for William intensify. When William comes home from the war, his jealousy explodes and he attacks Dylan
