Running With Scissors Trailer
September 14th 2006 07:08
Running With Scissors is a film directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Annette Bening set for an October 20, 2006 release in the US and a late 2006 / early 2007 release in other parts of the world.
Based on the memoir Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs, the film is a semi-autobiographical account of Burroughs' childhood. His mother gave him away to be raised by her unorthodox psychiatrist, an eccentric man with an eccentric family.
At the age of twelve, Burroughs found himself amidst Victorian squalor living with the doctor’s bizarre family and befriending Neil Bookman, a pederast who resided in the backyard shed. The story is one of an outlaw childhood where rules were unheard of, and the Christmas tree stayed up all year round, where Valium was consumed like candy, and if things got dull an electroshock-therapy machine could provide entertainment.

The trailer made me smile.
Lets just hope that Gwenyth doesn't drag the whole thing down to her level.
