Tale Of Despereaux

The Tale of Despereaux is a computer animated family/ fantasy film based on the book of the same name by Kate DiCamillo . It boasts a star studded voice cast including Robbie Coltrane, Ciarán Hinds, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline, Christopher Lloyd, Justin Long, William H. Macy, Stanley Tucci, Tracey Ullman and Sigourney Weaver.

Despereaux Tilling is not like the other mice who live under the castle, he is brave, likes sunlight, the outdoors and he dares to talk to humans - especially the beautiful princess. However he is caught and thrown into the rat-infested dungeon below.
In his quest to escape he not only brings light to the other mice, but enlightens an entire village.

The Tale of Despereaux will be released in the USA on Christmas Day 2008. The Australian release date is January 8th.

The only thing that could deter viewers is the hard to pronounce name of the mice and the fact that it kinds makes me think of Ratatoulie (or however you spell that) lol.
