Towelhead

Towelhead is a drama film based on the novel of the same name by Alicia Erian. It will be released on October 30th in Australia and September 26th in the USA.

Summer Bishil plays Jasira, a young Arab-American girl who is sent to live with her strict Lebanese father in a small town in Texas during the time of the first Gulf War. There she struggles against her father's lifestyle and parenting, her racist classmates, her relationship with an African American school friend and a sexual obsession with her neighbour, a bigoted army reservist played by (Aaron Eckhart).
