Wicker Man

The Wicker Man was a large wicker statue of a man used by the ancient Druidss for human sacrifice. In 1973 a British cult film entitled The Wicker Man was made. In 2006 a remake of this film starring Nicholas Cage and directed by Neil LaBute is due to be released in September. The basic plot is a sheriff who investigates the disappearance of a young girl from a small island in Maine and disocvers a larger mystery to solve among the island's secretive pagan community.

Film & TV on DVD
God I hope Neil la Bute comes through on this one.

The original is one of the creepiest films Ive ever seen, have never been able to shake it.
